Diego John Velasquez attended college on a full Navy R.O.T.C. Scholarship and later graduated with honors. Upon graduation from college, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. He was one of several newly commissioned Navy Officers nationwide selected to serve as a foreign exchange officer representing the United States Navy.   Mr. Velasquez received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy and was later awarded another scholarship to study at California Western School of Law located in San Diego, California.  During his second year of law school, he earned the distinctive American Jurisprudence Award.  

Mr. Velasquez opened his law office over twenty-seven years ago.  He dedicated his entire 27-year legal career to representing clients in all types of family law cases.  As an attorney he represented thousands of clients in all types of family law matters including divorce, legal separation, support, child custody/visitation, property division, and restraining orders.  His work has earned him the Wiley W. Manuel award for Pro Bono Legal Services and the Standout Award Family Law Program.  He was appointed to the Family Law Attorney Panel for both the San Diego County and North County Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Services.  He was also a featured attorney in the San Diego County Bar Journal.  During his legal career he gained extensive and valuable trial and hearing experience.
